Abstract
Aluminium welding cannot be done by conventional process because temperature characteristics of material will be changed. To overcome this drawback, friction stir welding process is done. In friction stir welding two Aluminium plates or sheets are joined together and cylindrical shouldered tool with profile threaded and straight threaded H 13 is used. The trial experiments are conducted using Friction Stir Welding (FSW) on commercial AA2014. Practical results of tension test are compared with simulation results of tension test in LSDYNA.
