Abstract

Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle( PHEV) overcomes the disadvantage of short driving distance for pure electric vehicle(Pure EV), which powered only by battery. At the same time, it can achieve pure electric drive mode. PHEV is believed to be the most representative schemes to transform to green energy. This paper analyses power transmission system of energy flow principle in series and in parallel on PHEV, and simulate the energy flow PHEV using C language program. The results show that PHEV parallel structure performance is better than tandem structure in the 1015 cycle. In NEDC and HWFET cycle, parallel structure performance is better than tandem structure. When PHEV in tandem structure, the total energy consumption is most and air resistance energy consumption is least in the 1015 cycle. When PHEV in parallel structure, the total energy consumption is most in the 1015 cycle, NEDC cycle take second place, HWFET cycle is least. And PHEV performance is stable in the different modes.
