Abstract

Objective Study on the critical thinking and its related factors in medical students, and raise the related solution or teaching solution. Methods A total of 1186 medical students of different majors and different grades were randomly tested for their critical thinking by the questionnaire of the critical thinking disposition inventory-chinese version (CTDI-CV) and the questionnaire made by normal materials. Results The average score of critical thinking among the medical students is ( 270.84 ± 22.42 ), lower than the positive standard. The related factors include the train lessons, grade, and character, reading and writing habits, taking part in the club activities, being student leaders and so on. Only 47.5% of the students have heard the critical thinking, 16. 1% of thc students have been trained in the lessons. Conclusions The students in medical university still lack critical thinking ability. It is helpful to enhance medical students' critical thinking ability by taking part in the train lessons and school activities, and developing a habit of reading and writing.
