Abstract

Academic information system is a portal that can support education in a university. At Telkom University is called Integrated Academic Information System (i-Gracias). One of the menus in the i-Gracias is for lecturers to conduct the lecture process during the current semester. The existing condition in the business process of lectures at Telkom University is the habits of the lecturers who are different from each other in carrying out the lecture business process. This is due to the lack of clear guidelines for lecturers in the business process of lectures. This is also a challenge in evaluating and developing the existing condition of the lecture business process. It is necessary to do an analysis to obtain information from the lecture process that can be the basis for conducting future evaluations. Analysis can be done by processing log data obtained from the i-Gracias. Process mining is one of the methods that can process log data into usable information with Heuristic Miner algorithm. The Heuristic Miner algorithm was chosen because of its ability to handle event logs with noise and can display the main behavior of the existing process model. The obtained result from conformance checking are fitness is 64.9%, precision is 36.2%, generalization is 57.5%, simplicity is 64.3%. With this research, it can contribute to adding new insights regarding the implementation of process mining in the field of education and knowing the activities carried out by the lecturer through I-Gracias of Telkom University.
