Abstract

Objective To explore the method to deal with the conflict during storming period, so as to provide reference for nurse managers taking effective measures, and facilitate the construction and development of nursing team. Methods From January 2013 to January 2014, we utilized case analysis method to analyze specific clinical conflict during the first year of 40 head nurses′ management. Results The work emphases of nurse managers should be the coordination of interpersonal relationship which could not neglect the details; the decision related ward could cope with all events involved all nursing staffs with open, fair and justice; to arrange roster reasonable was the fundamental to ensure all regulations and standard to carry out, and flexible shifts presented humanized management which could promote nurses enthusiasm and quality of nursing. Conclusions Nurse managers should deal with the conflict during team storming period with correct view; the trust among nurses and keeping sustained, effective and bidirectional communication can contribute the development and construction of team during storming.
