Abstract

Flipped classroom is one of the learning methods that flip activities between inside and outside the classroom. One of important factors to determine how good this method is is an individual learning which is conducted outside the classroom. Nowadays, most of the studies about flipped classroom focus on how to implement it with independent tools, without using learning management system (LMS). Therefore, an instructional design prepared on a LMS based on this method is needed. The instructional design was designed based on the learning process at Faculty of Computer Science, University of Indonesia as a case study through interview and literature review. Consequently, the outcome of this research is an instructional design of flipped classroom in Moodle-based LMS within mock up form. The proposed design will become a milestone for future research in flipped classroom. Moreover, this method was expected to increase student's motivation in learning, hence the use of Moodle-based LMS becomes more optimal.
