Abstract

The causative factors attributing to the imprecision in fiber-optic refractometry are analyzed in order to conceptualize two methods with which the measurable refractive parameter G can be isolated from the complex superposition of irrelevant optical effects and other hidden variables. The relation between the refractive index n and a dissymmetry coefficient G is derived theoretically for the computational measurement of the n value.
