Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in agribusiness with the main business of plantation and processing of palm oil. The company is located in Jakarta which is the parent company of 8 subsidiaries under it. The company has constraints on human resource management activities especially performance appraisal where there is no clear standard on the assessment as well as an increase in the number of employees who are not in line with the improvement of company performance in human resource management, resulting in decreased employee performance. The purpose of this research is to analyze and design performance appraisal standards applied to performance appraisal information systems that can assist stakeholders in handling performance appraisal and employee management appropriately to improve employee and company performance. The methodology that researchers use in this research is the method of analysis and designing. The method of analysis is done by collecting data through observation, interview and literature study, data analysis using Fishbone Diagram and SWOT analysis. The assessment methods used in determining performance appraisal standards are Behaviorally Anchored Rating Scale (BARS) and Management by Objectives (MBO). Design method using Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and Unified Modeling Language (UML) notation. The results achieved are a performance appraisal information system that functions in assisting the process of employee performance appraisal. The conclusion of the analysis and design of this information system is that the system can help simplify the process of staffing personnel data, assessment, and performance appraisal reports.
