Abstract
In this paper, a new non-isolated dc-dc converter with wide voltage gain range is proposed. The proposed converter has a high step-up gain, wide input voltage, low voltage stress on the semiconductor, continuous input current, and a common ground between its input and output ports. This converter can be used as an interface between fuel cells or renewable energy systems and the dc-link of the inverter that supplies the ac loads. Complete analysis of the proposed converter in the continuous conduction mode (CCM), and components selection are discussed in this paper. Additionally, the proposed converter is compared with a number of step-up converters. A 1.6 kW 400V experimental setup was built to verify the theoretical analysis.
