Abstract
this paper presents the analysis and design consideration of a transmitter topology that features being compact and low cost. Operation mode of this transmitter is analyzed in quantity and therefore the closed-form expressions with any duty cycle have been derived, which lead to the optimal design. The practical design considerations including components selection, efficiency optimization and thermal issue, form factor reduction, coupling factor variance, foreign object detection (FOD), and input voltage variance are discussed. And new design ideas are proposed. In addition, a parallel LC resonant tank as the receiver topology is analyzed. The proposed analysis and normalized design approach are verified by simulation and experimental results
