Abstract
We created structures with spatially variable period (chirped gratings) on fused quartz and TiO2 films. Expressions for the interference pattern of two coherent-radiation beams with quadratic and plane phase fronts are obtained. Results of the analysis are used for calculation and diagnostics of the created structures.
