Abstract

In this paper, we used equivalent anisotropic theory to compute anisotropic parameters. POM method was applied to converted wave prestack time migration. Based on the scattering wave traveltime equation in a VTI medium, the pseudo‐offset of POM migration in anisotropic media was deduced. By POM gather mapping, migration velocity analysis and stack processing, and so on, the anisotropic migration results were acquired. The actual data processing demonstrates the validity of converted wave prestack time migration by the anisotropic POM method. The POM method is especially suitable for seismic data with low SNR.
