Abstract

Structures builton soft saturated soils experience robust settlement which may be because of several occurrences whose consolidation. The second results from the dissipation of the additional pore pressure and deformation of the solid skeleton. Terzaghi philosophy led to the equation modeling the dissipation of excess pore pressure. The aim of this revisionis to establish solutions, by analytical and numerical scheme, of the equation of the pore water pressure. We measured a compressible saturated soil layer, between two drainage zones and subjected to an even load. Separation ofparametersis used to acquirean analytical solution and the finite element technique for the numerical solution. The consequences gained by the finite element method have validated those of analytical resolution.
