Abstract

Noncollinear phase-matching for three-wave mixing in uniaxial crystals is studied theoretically. A very simple relation correlating the noncollinear angle with the phase-matching angles of the interacting beams emerges for noncollinear difference-frequency mixing similar to second harmonic generation and sum-frequency mixing.
