Abstract

The investment and application of Virtual Reality on education makes new requirement for the construction of institutions of higher learning’s experiment platform as well as teaching reform as Virtual Reality is being an emerging research orientation in institutions of higher learning. Based on the statistics on the core literaturess included in CNKI from 2000 to 2019, the paper explores the current research status of Virtual Reality in education in China from three aspects: the amount of annual publications, the discipline research field, and the fund support, pointing out the existing problems in the research of Virtual Reality in education, which are the formulation of development plan, the construction of sharing platform, the integration and application of Virtual Reality and specialty as well as the investment in key fields.
