Abstract

This article proposes a close reading of the seven poems of the Israeli poet Dan Pagis (1930-1986) known as “The sealed Wagon”, all seven translated from Hebrew into French and published in this volume. In addition to a short introduction about the poet, each poem is analized separately as well as a part of a whole. A special attention is given to the role of intertextual relationships and to the the mythe of Creation.
