Abstract

Abstract Deuterated benzene mixed crystals are irradiated by intensity modulated i.r. at low temperatures. The i.r. causes a modulation of crystal temperature which in turn causes a modulation of fluorescence intensity of the crystal. Phase sensitive detection of fluorescence allows the assignment of bands to different trap emissions due to their different temperature dependences. A simple kinetic model gives qualitative agreement with experiments.
