Abstract

Two g9/2 analogue resonances have been found in 64Zn, corresponding to the 1.55 and 1.59 MeV levels in the parent nucleus 64Cu. The resonances were located through the 63Cu(p, gamma )64Zn reaction at proton bombarding energies Eplab=3217 and 3251 keV respectively. The gamma ray transitions from the isobaric analogue resonances to the lower lying levels in 64Zn were studied with a Ge(Li) detector. The asymmetry ratios I(0 degrees )/I(90 degrees ) were measured for a few prominent gamma ray transitions. Based on these studies both the resonances were suggested to have spin and parity Jpi =3-. From the analogue resonances of M1 branch of about 0.5*10-2 Wu was found to proceed to a level at the excitation energy 3.002 MeV which was identified as the main component of the anti-analogue state.
