Abstract

The carboxypeptidase A-catalyzed hydrolysis of chloroacetyl- l-phenylalanine has been measured by a spectrophotometric technique in the pH region between 6.5 and 9.0. The rate constants were determined by analog computation in which by trial and error such values were found that a simulated substrate-time curve was completely identical with an experimentally determined substrate-time curve.
