Abstract

In this paper, we present analog and digital simulations structures with tunable order of the analog fractional order differentiator (FOD) $s^{m}$ in broad frequency band and for any real positive number m. The main features of this tunable order analog FOD are that its order m can be tuned without changing its analog or digital simulations structures and its time responses for different inputs are easily derived and calculated. These proposed analog and digital simulations structures of tunable order of the analog FOD are obtained based on a tunable fractional order analog fractional order integrator (FOI). Illustrative examples are given to show the efficiency and the effectiveness of the proposed analog and digital simulations structures of the tunable order FOD for its implementation and its time response calculation.
