Abstract

Research Objectives . Objective goals . To find out the analysis of the legal process regarding the motives of the perpetrators of the crime of theft by weighting carried out by children in the legal area of the Bantul Police . To find out the obstacles faced by Bantul Police investigators in the process of investigating the crime of theft by weighting committed by children Research with a normative juridical type essentially shows a provision, the research approach is carried out so that researchers get information from various aspects to find the issues to be answered, as for the approach in this research, namely: The legal approach (status approach) or juridical approach is research on legal products7. This statutory approach is carried out to examine all laws and regulations related to the research to be researched. This statutory approach will open up opportunities for researchers to study whether there is consistency and conformity8 between one law and another. Conceptual approach (conceptual approach), this approach is carried out because there are no or no legal rules for the problems at hand, this conceptual approach departs from the views and doctrines that develop in the science of law, thus giving birth to an understanding of law and legal principles. relevant to the problem at hand. Discussion results. Analysis of the legal process regarding the motives of the perpetrators of the crime of theft with weights carried out by children in the Bantul Police District . carried out after the officer received a report, then the perpetrator was arrested and an investigation process was carried out with the application of Article 363 paragraphs 3e, 4e, 5e of the Criminal Code. The obstacles faced by the Bantul Police investigators are the crime of theft by weighting by children , there are two factors, namely . Internal Factors ; and inadequate facilities and infrastructure; Disconnected information network; and Insufficient number of police personnel in terms of quantity. External Factors . Lack of evidence and witnesses; People who are apathetic in helping the police; and The supporting facilities at the crime scene are inadequate.
