Abstract

Occupational safety and health (K3) is quite an important matter in the industrial world, bearing in mind that there are many things that are at risk and all things can turn into a dangerous accident if not properly controlled. The Ministry of Manpower through the UPT Region 1 Manpower Service Sumatra Utara is running a zero accident award program for industries operating in UPT region 1 North Sumatra. One of the supporting things is working hours. Working hours in Indonesia have been regulated in the Labor Law number 13 of 2013. This research is intended to find out how the system calculates the number of hours work in winning the zero ac cident K3 award at the UPT Manpower Office region 1, North Sumatra. Companies that register must meet the requirements given. This research uses a qualitative method where the data is taken from several sources or literature studies and also the results of observations at the UPT Manpower Office region 1 North Sumatra. The working hours of people to fulfill the requirements for the zero accident award are in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, namely 2080 working hours per year with the applicable calculations.
