Abstract

Motivation is an impulse that comes from within a person to do or not do something. Work motivation is considered important because it is expected that every individual will work hard and be enthusiastic to achieve high employee performance. There are many factors that influence work motivation, but this study only discuss some of them including self-actualization, soft skills and organizational climate. Self-actualization is the ability of individuals to explore and develop all their potential to become themselves and to improve their quality of life, and self-actualization is the highest need. While soft skills are one of the important keys that can help someone in encouraging motivation. Another factor is that the organizational climate has a very significant participation for each individual employee in the organization, and ultimately has an impact on work motivation.
