Abstract

PPI is an activity that includes planning, implementation, guidance, education and training as well as monitoring for infection prevention and control. PPI is very important because it describes the quality of service in hospitals. This research was conducted in one of the Pekanbaru X Private Hospitals in Riau Province. The research method used is a case study approach. Primary data obtained from observations and interviews, and document studies. Secondary data obtained from literature study. infection prevention and control program consists of managerial, administrative, environmental control, control with personal protective equipment and surveillance which based on the results of interviews at the Pekanbaru City X Private Hospital has met the requirements of the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 270/Menkes/SK/III/200 . The environmental quality of the Pekanbaru X Private Hospital is classified as good and has met the requirements of the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1204/MENKES/SK/X/2004. Patient safety and security at the Pekanbaru X Private Hospital has implemented patient safety goals well but not optimally because from the results of observations there are only two patient safety goals that have received maximum results or 100%, namely increasing the use of drugs with high alert and certainty. right location, right procedure, right patient operation. So it can be concluded that Pekanbaru X Private Hospital has implemented infection prevention and control programs properly and in accordance with applicable SOPs.
