Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that has spread throughout the world has had a significant impact on the construction sector. For this reason, serious efforts are needed from all construction stakeholders so that occupational safety and health (K3) is implemented in all construction projects. In connection with the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal strategy for increasing the application of K3. The type of research used is combination research is a research method that combines quantitative methods and qualitative methods. Data analysis was carried out with SWOT analysis to help formulate the right strategy to improve construction implementation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of the SWOT matrix analysis of internal factors and external factors that affect the implementation of K3L during the COVID-19 pandemic obtained a Strength score of 2.95, Opportunity Score of 2.40, Weakness Score of 1.24, and Threat Score of 1.60. So based on the calculation of internal factors and external factors, as well as a Cartesian diagram the company's condition is in quadrant I, namely S-O (Strength-Opportunities) where this situation is a situation where the company uses strength to take advantage of existing opportunities. Meanwhile, the optimal strategy to increase the application of K3 during the COVID-19 pandemic is the Aggressive Strategy.
