Abstract
The reliability of a flow system for different flow values is a very useful indicator in the design and operation of systems being able to be modeled as flow networks, such as production, transportation, distribution, communication and information systems. The reliability of a flow system regarding a flow K is defined as the probability of the system being capable of conducting at least a total flow K from origin to destination.A method is developed for qetting reliability parameters for a given flow system in terms of its time varying branch reliabilities. The procedure is based on Graph Theory concepts and has wide applications in modeling real systems.
