Abstract
AbstractThe government's policy regarding online learning is to reduce the spread ofCovid-19, but this policy can affect student interest in learning due to changesin learning conditions from face-to-face to offline/online. This research wasconducted at SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya by interviewing 7 students based onthe recommendations given by teachers in XI IPS and XI IPS geographyteachers at SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya. The data analysis technique used is theMiles and Huberman model analysis, with 3 steps of data analysis, namely datareduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of this study indicatethat students still feel happy and want to take part in online geography learningbecause the learning carried out is quite flexible and relaxed and the tasksgiven by the teacher are not many. Students are also diligent in doingassignments and attending geography lessons. Basically, students still have aninterest in learning geography online. However, based on the four indicators ofinterest in learning, it is not good overall because of the lack of studentinvolvement in learning geography and, there are obstacles that are felt by moststudents in understanding the material provided online through GoogleClassroom.Keywords: Geography learning, Interest to learn, Online learning
