Abstract

Knowledge of financial and budget management is not only an activity that is only carried out in industrial companies, trade or the like, but has made it mandatory for all households to be able to do it, because it needs to be realized that a household in which there is a husband, wife and children is a small company unit. The purpose of this study was to determine the understanding of family household management, to determine the application of management to budgeting, to find out the obstacles in the application of family financial management and to see whether there is an influence of internalization on the financial management of fishermen's families in Pariaman City, whose income depends on the catch produced. influenced by natural conditions, especially wind, waves, and ocean currents. This form of research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Research using descriptive method is research that is directed to provide accurate and systematic symptoms, facts or events regarding the characteristics of a particular population and area. The results showed that the family's understanding of management was very simple. There is no management application to family budgeting. The obstacles that occur are uncertain income and low education knowledge. There is no influence of internalization on family financial management.
