Abstract
The aim of this research is to assess the feasibility of cultivating seaweed (Eucheuma cottonii) in Ambai Village, Yapen Islands District, Serui City. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Determining the research location was carried out purposively with a population of two seaweed farmers who were still actively cultivating in Ambai Village. The analysis method used is financial operational analysis (R/C and BEP). The results of the research show that seaweed cultivation is feasible to develop, this can be seen from the total income earned by each Eucheuma cottonii seaweed farmer of IDR 2,640,000 per cycle and the R/C Ratio from seaweed farming in Ambai village of 1.54 meaning that it is financially profitable and feasible to develop as a fishery business activity.
