Abstract
The dynamic of world economic globalization will influence the production condition of produced commodities in Indonesia, that demanded to have high comparative and competitive advantages. On soybean commodity, the decreasingly planting area from year to year and low productivity is one of factors that make low soybean production in Indonesia. On other side, soybean demand for food and feed increase steadily. The lack should be fulfilled by importing the commodity. Various efforts to improve productivity and supperss the import has been done. Soybean development will be better if directed for making new superior variety that has yield level more than 2,5 t/ha, suitable with user preference, that is moderate – big seed, medium age and high protein content. The effective superior variety dissemination that suitable to market demand is with JABAL system (InterField Seed Lane). The efforts yo implement high competitiveness technology by developing soybean at location/ region that has LQ (Location Quotient) value in moderate – high category and implementing innovative technology for the soybean cultivation.
