Abstract

Love is a natural thing for everyone to feel. Everyone has the right to feel a love, whether young or old, male or female. The way people interpret love will be different. This difference also applies to age differences, especially couples in early adulthood. This period is a period of transition from adolescence to adulthood. a transition period either emotionally, physically, intellectually or in a transition to social roles. Many people misinterpret the true definition of love which results in the breakup of the couple's love relationship. This research is a qualitative type with a descriptive approach. The subjects are 2 pairs of students who are currently studying at the Sumbawa University of Technology with one of the couples who already has children. The techniques of data collections that researcher use for this research are interview and documentation with triangulation methods as the validity technique. From three aspects in Triangular Theory of Love, which are passion and commitment. The two pairs of subjects succeeded in fulfilling these three aspects at different levels. Each pair of subjects has different elements in the existing aspects. There are several factors that affect the level of love that the researcher found in the field, they are the age at which the marriage was formed and the presence of the baby from each relationship. This affects the level of love that is formed.
