Abstract

­­Community participation is important in the development of sustainable agro-edutourism. Community participation can be assessed through several stages. Before the community participates, there are internal factors and external factors related to community participation in agro-edutourism. In addition, it is hoped that the existence of agro-edutourism can contribute to the local economy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between internal and external factors with the level of participation, and to analyze the relationship between the level of participation and the local economy in the development of agro-edutourism. The method used in this study is a quantitative method supported by qualitative data. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant and quite strong relationship between support from the government, private sector, and NGOs on external factors and the level of community participation, as well as between the level of participation at the implementation stage and the local economy. It can be said that the existence of agro-edutourism contributes to the local economy, especially in terms of providing job opportunities and business opportunities.
