Abstract

Financial distress is a condition in which a company faces financial difficulties. One of the causes of financial distress in banking is that banks do not comply with or comply with the capital adequacy ratio set by the regulator and banks are unable to manage the risk of the financing that has been disbursed. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence financial distress at Bank Mumalat. This type of research is quantitative research. While the data collection techniques used in this study are documentation and observation by collecting the financial statements of the Muamalat bank. The results showed that the CAR (capital adequacy ratio) variable did not have a significant effect on financial distress at Bank Muamalat Indonesia. ROA has a significant negative effect on financial distress at Bank Muamalat Indonesia. ROE shows that there is an influence on financial distress at Bank Muamalat Indonesia. Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) shows an influence on financial distress at Bank Muamalat Indonesia.
