Abstract
PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the coconut processing industry. The company is located in Sekupang Industrial Estate Lot 38, Kel. Patam Lestari, Sekupang District, Batam, Riau Islands Province. PT. XYZ produces processed coconut into several products, namely ready-to-use clean peeled coconut, copra, shell, coconut fiber and others. These products can be considered as semi-finished materials. Judging from the production process, PT. XYZ will not be separated from the risk of accidents due to work. Moreover, if it is seen that work safety has not become a complete culture in coconut factory work activities. Based on interviews, the personnel said that in the last 6 (six) months, 25 cases were identified, 12 of which were classified as minor accidents, 11 moderate accidents and 2 serious accidents. This can happen because the company has not been able to detect all the potential hazards of work accidents in the company by applying the Hirarc (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control) method in the company (PT. XYZ), which is expected to be able to suppress work accidents at PT. XYZ.
