Abstract

Background: Treatment for differentiated thyroid carcinoma is predominantly surgical, including total or subtotal thyroidectomy. However, postoperative pain after thyroid surgery is a common problem in the early postoperative hours. The principle aim of this study was to investigate the analgesic effect of two different regimens of analgesics administered to patients undergoing total or subtotal thyroidectomy.
