Abstract

Anaerobic degradation kinetics of acetic acid (HAc) in the presence of 2,4-DCP were investigated, using 2,4DCP acclimated anaerobic granules. The effect of HAc on 2,4-DCP dechlorination was minimal. On the basis of model discrimination, the degradation kinetics of HAc were found to follow uncompetitive inhibition with 2,4-DCP as an inhibitor.
