Abstract

AbstractAn x‐band coplanar magic‐T with high power handing is proposed by combining an H‐plane power divider and an iris for matching in E‐plane. The proposed magic‐T has −15 dB impedance bandwidth in experiment, which is about 23% covering form 8.9 to 11.2 GHz. Furthermore, the isolation is better than 46.2 dB with the typical insertion loss of 0.15 dB in the whole bandwidth with the contribute of the symmetrical structure. Herein, the average power‐handling capability (APHC) could be estimated at 865 W by simulated analysis, since the structure is all‐metal. Excellent correspondence between the simulated and measured results is demonstrated.
