Abstract

An ultra-wideband (UWB) filter is proposed using a planar compact coplanar-waveguide-based composite right/left-handed (CRLH) transmission line (TL) structure. Two transmission zeros locate close to the passband edges, which makes a good selectivity and stopband rejection of the filter. The relative 3-dB bandwidth is larger than 71%. Agreements between simulated and measured responses of the filter are demonstrated.
