Abstract
Abstract Many production enterprises today are restructuring to enable more flexible production by introducing team structures. The overall objective of the Manufacturing Team Information System (ManTIS) is to provide methodologies and IT support for the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) concepts for the manufacturing work group or team. ManTIS has to be an easy-touse software for shop floor personnel. The paper gives an overview on the user centered approach for the design of the ManTIS system.
