Abstract

Peptide and protein drugs have the advantages of high biological activity and specificity, strong solubility and low toxicity, which have become the hot field of drug research and development. However, peptide and protein drugs generally have short half-life due to the rapid degradation of protease in the digestive system and blood and the rapid removal of kidney in vitro, which seriously limits the effectiveness of the drug. In order to prolong the half-life of peptide or protein drugs, improve their pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characteristics, and realize the long-term effect of peptide or protein drugs. Various research institutions have carried out a lot of research, and successfully developed a variety of chemical modification, fusion protein, nanotechnology and so on.
