Abstract

Morphine can mimic effect of ischemia preconditioning and show some beneficial cardioprotective effects on animal hearts undertaken ischemia/reperfusion injury. Morphine preconditioning confers biphasie eardioprotection: early preconditioning and delayed preconditioning. This kind of protection is mostly mediated by opioid receptor, mitochondrial KATP channel, iNOS and COX-2. Beyond the acknowledgement of its molecular mechanism of morphine preconditioning, it is also important to induce related clinical research. Key words: morphine; ischemic preconditioning, myocardial; ischemia/reperfusion injury
