Abstract
The ring conformation of 2- O-methyl-1,3,4,5-tetrakis- O- tert-butyldiphenylsilyl- myo-inositol was in a twist form both in solid state and in solution. This is the first observation of a stable twist conformer induced by the introduction of bulky silyl protecting groups.
