Abstract

Question: A 31-year-old woman presented to the gastroenterology clinic for a second opinion regarding chronic intermittent abdominal pain and alternating diarrhea and constipation for more than 10 years. She occasionally noticed a greasy film on the toilet water, but there was no blood in the stool, rectal pain, or weight loss. She had undergone computed tomographic (CT) imaging about 10 years before presentation for similar symptoms (Figure), and recently underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy with normal duodenal and colon biopsies, respectively.
