Abstract

This article examines an edition of John of Garland's Equivoca printed in Paris in 1502 with a previously overlooked dedication showing that it was produced with London publication in mind. There is an examination of the early editions of grammatical texts associated with the names of Johannes de Garlandia and Galfridus Grammaticus, and a short bibliography of editions of two texts called Equivoca that are attributed to Garlandia.
