Abstract
Spectators go to the theater to exercise sight, hearing, and other senses. In the light of the polymath vision of the Age of Reason, it remains to us to examine what could be the best interior disposition regarding optics and acoustics, which the auditory-visual shows would be indebted in the most advantageous way that the spectators can see and hear in the best as possible. The eyes and ears are the direct organs responsible for hearing and vision. By considering what can best stimulate visual and auditory pleasures and in which figure should be best adapted is the argument that we propose to examine in this study. Consequently, we will begin by explaining the sound manner of acting, and particularly that of the voice; how it spreads, what are the causes that can alter it or give it greater prominence. After that, we will pass to examine how sight is satisfied, and what can favor or cheat it most and from the result of all these observations, we will deduce which figure in question should be.
