An Unprecedented 5‐Connected Self‐penetrated Cadmium(II) Coordination Polymer: Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Luminescent Property

Abstract

AbstractThe CdII coordination polymer, [Cd(BDC)(L)1.5] (1) [H2BDC = isophthalic acid and L = 1,4‐bis(2‐methylimidazol‐3‐ium‐1‐yl)biphenyl], was synthesized by the assembly of CdII ion, L ligand, and isophthalic acid, respectively. Complex 1 was characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, elemental analyses, FT‐IR spectroscopy, and power X‐ray diffraction (PXRD). X‐ray structural analysis reveals that complex 1 is a 5‐connected self‐penetrated net with point symbol (42.68). Furthermore, the luminescent property of the title complex is investigated.
