Abstract

We present an unconditional stable time domain solution for three-dimensional arbitrarily shaped structures illuminated by a short pulse wave. A hybrid technique is applied to get stable transient data using early-time and low-frequency data. The time domain electric field integral equation formulation with a central differencing scheme is used to obtain the early time data, and stable late time data can be obtained by applying a hybrid method utilizing low-frequency data. The time domain solution method is based on marching-on-in-time technique and the hybrid method is based on the singular value decomposition for direct extrapolation of a causal signal.
