Abstract

As the proportion of renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic and wind power generation in the power system continues increasing, the stability problems caused by the control of voltage-source converters (VSCs) have been increasingly emerging. At present, there are divergent opinions on the small-signal modeling and stability analysis methods for VSC grid-connected system, and there is a lack of consensus. This paper summarizes the latest developments in different modeling and analysis methods for VSC grid-connected system, analyze the relationships and differences between different methods, and theoretical analysis and time-domain simulation are presented to prove the accuracy and consistency of different methods when applied to system stability analysis.
