The main objective of endodontic treatment is the total removal of any necrotic tissues and microorganisms along with their byproducts found within the infected root canal to treat and prevent the recolonization of these micrbad oorganisms. To date, no known irrigant has a 100% elimination rate on microorganisms, many combinations of irrigates have been suggested, and care must be taken to their mixing interaction and side effects.
