Abstract
This paper was written as an introduction and the opening address to the FICPI Symposium on Industrial Designs, and presented at the FICPI Symposium on Designs, Rome, Italy, November 15, 2001.The role of this paper is to give an overview of international industrial design law, including a little history, some current events, and my vision for the future. This paper will identify the players who are making the new law or pressuring for changes.
